What’s a Travel Show and Why Should I Go?

When I began working at Carefree Vacations, I had never been to a Travel Show and didn’t have any idea as to what it was. Five years later, I feel I can shed some light on the subject.

The travel shows put on by Carefree Vacations, bring together a variety of cruise, tour, train and resort suppliers to present their products to the general public and answer travel related questions- all at no cost to you! This is a great time to ask questions you may feel embarrassed to ask or to get an answer straight from the source. We bring representatives from the top travel companies we work with including well-known names: Disney Travel Co., Royal Caribbean International, Pleasant Holidays, Princess Cruises, Apple Vacations and many more.

We also bring in representatives from companies that may not be as well known: Rocky Mountaineer (luxury rail provider), Brewster Vacations (Canada specialists), African Travel (a leader in travel to Africa and safaris), Journese (luxury resort and villa vacations), AMA Waterways (luxury river cruise ships). and KSL Resorts (La Costa Resort & Spa and Hotel Del Coronado, plus other luxury resorts).

When you walk in the door of the Golden West and California Ballrooms at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, located in the Hotel Circle area, on Sunday September 30, 2012 between 11am-3pm you will register with our friendly staff so that you can be entered in the many prize drawings. You will also be able to mark your travel interests and indicate if you’d like to receive email offers after the event. You will be offered a reusable grocery bag in case you see any brochures you’d like to take home.

Once you enter the main area, you will be able to wander around and talk with over twenty-five travel vendors representing a variety of vacations. Our expert travel consultants will also be walking around and available to answer any vacation planning questions you may have. It is a low-pressure, fun and friendly event. If you are interested in booking a trip, we will have exclusive offers for those that attend the show but you won’t be pressured.

Grab a brochure, find out what’s new in travel, talk to people that have “been there and done that”. It’s a relaxed environment celebrating travel and exploring the world. Short, informal presentations will be delivered by many of our travel vendors which you can listen to while browsing the different booths or pull up a chair and join in. Each presenter will also be giving away a prize!!!
