Mount Agung provides a dramatic backdrop for Amankila (&lsquo;peaceful hill&rsquo;), a secluded seaside resort overlooking the Lombok Strait in East Bali. The 33 free-standing suites offer exceptional sea views from their hillside settings, and are connected to the resort&rsquo;s restaurants and other facilities by raised walkways. Guests can relax around the signature three-tier swimming pool or at the Beach Club. This offers another swimming pool and a restaurant set back from the private beach in a tranquil coconut grove. The center piece of the palace is an eleven tiered fountain and there are many beautiful carvings and statues adorning the gardens.</span></span></span><br />&#x0D; &nbsp;<br />&#x0D; <strong><span style="font-family: whitney medium;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The Ujung Water Palace</span></span></span></strong><br />&#x0D; <span style="font-family: whitney light;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The Ujung water palace, which is called Taman Soekasada Ujung by the locals, was built by the late king of Karangasem, I Gusti Bagus Djelantik who reigned in Karangasem from 1909 until 1945. The palace was destroyed several times, during World War II when its iron bars structure was dismantled and used for weaponry production and after the 1963 eruption of mount Agung. The government and the royal family of Karangasem reconstructed the palace and restored its former glory. Amankila&rsquo;s architect, Ed Tuttle, drew upon the classical beauty of Ujung for inspiration in creating Amankila.&nbsp;&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">When visiting the water palaces it is also perfect to combine with a trip to Puri Agung, the king&rsquo;s palace in Karangasem.</span></span></span><br />&#x0D; &nbsp;<br />&#x0D; <strong><span style="font-family: whitney medium;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Puri Agung</span></span></span></strong><br />&#x0D; <span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: whitney light;"><span style="color: black;">Karangasem King Palace is exist in Amlapura, east part of Bali, owns the unique building architecture. Amankila Suite
Overlooking the beach and Amuk Bay, the 660 square metre (7,104 square feet) two-bedroom Amankila Suite offers a private butler service, a large outdoor terrace, and an aquamarine-tiled pool, ideal for families seeking coastal seclusion. Two bedrooms with king-sized canopied beds encourage a restful night&rsquo;s sleep, while two lounging pavilions and a living area with window-side divan provide spaces for guests to come together. The suite also has a spacious bathroom with bathtub, dressing areas, twin vanities, and separate shower and WC.
Garden Suite
Designed to maximise the spectacular sea and hillside views, Amankila&rsquo;s 94 square metre (1,011 square feet) stilted Garden Suites have an expansive terrace for outdoor living.&nbsp; Engulfed by a lush hillside beneath sacred Mount Agung, the canopied king-sized bed and living area with writing desk, window-side divan and daybed creates a private escape, perfect for couples exploring Bali&rsquo;s central heartland. The suites also have a spacious bathroom complete with bathtub to encourage relaxation.
Indrakila Suite
Offering its own swimming pool, outdoor terrace and lounging pavilion, the 249 square metre (2,680 square feet) Indrakila Suite is set in a verdant hillside location affording serene sea and temple views. With a canopied king-sized bed, the suite is well-suited to couples seeking a little more space but can also be joined to Suite 35 to accommodate larger parties. A living area with writing desk, window-side divan and daybed provides ample space to lounge, while the bathroom with bathtub, dressing areas, twin vanities and separate shower and WC ensures consummate comfort and privacy.
Infinity Pool Suite
Amankila&rsquo;s three unique infinity pool suites are all slightly different in layout, yet each is set high on the hillside with views of the Lombok Strait and features a private infinity pool overlooking the beautiful Amuk Bay. Offering an outdoor terrace and lounging pavilion, the suites combine an open-air lifestyle with all the amenities needed to create a comfortable and restful retreat, including a canopied king-sized bed, living idea with daybed, table and chairs, and bathroom with twin vanities.
Kilasari Suite
Situated high on the hillside overlooking the Lombok Strait, the 302 square metre (3,251 square feet) Kilasari Suite has a large private infinity pool overlooking the mountainside as well as an expansive terrace from which to admire the views. An idyllic retreat for those wishing to explore Bali or simply seeking solace, the suite also has an outdoor bale for lounging, and a canopied king-sized bed for a restful night&rsquo;s sleep. Social areas include living area with writing desk, a window-side divan and a daybed while a spacious bathroom with bathtub, dressing areas, twin vanities and separate shower and WC affords each guest space and privacy.
Ocean Suites
Amankila&rsquo;s spacious, stilted Ocean Suites face the Lombok Strait against the backdrop of Mount Agung. Elegantly spread over 94 square metres (1,104 square feet) with expansive terraces, they offer guests exceptional privacy, engulfed by the verdant mountainside with tranquil ocean views over the resort&rsquo;s private beach. Coconut shell and rattan furniture brings the naturally beautiful setting indoors, where a canopied king-sized bed, extensive living area and bathroom with deep-soaking bathtub creates a temple of seclusion.
Pool Suites
Offering consummate privacy overlooking the waters of the Lombok Strait, Amankila&rsquo;s 204 square metre (2,196 square feet) Pool Suites have their own private swimming pools and an outdoor terrace form which to take in the views. Inside, a canopied king-sized bed offers subtle grandeur while a living area with writing desk, window-side divan and daybed encourages relaxation. The bathroom features a deep soaking bathtub, dressing area and twin vanities for a spacious feel. If required, selected Pool Suites can also be connected with Ocean and Garden Suites via the pool courtyard to accommodate larger groups and families.

The Restaurant, located above the main pool overlooking the ocean, is open for dinner.
