Aman Venice

Aman Venice is a historical Palazzo located on the Grand Canal at the heart of Venice. The Palazzo has museum quality art and treasures. It was built in 1550, and is one of only 8 palazzo monumentali on the Grand Canal. It features 2 piano nobile - the grand floors that were used for lavish entertaining by the Papadopoli family who acquired and transformed the Palazzo in 1864. It was restored and opened as Aman Venice in June 2013.<br />&#x0D; <br />&#x0D; The reception rooms feature chandeliers, frescoed ceilings, terrazzo floors and sparkling views of Venice. The Palazzo now has 24 rooms , some with the original historical details. The Palazzo features two gardens, with the main garden facing on to the Grand Canal. The gardens ensure that wherever you are in the Palazzo, there is light all around, a unique in Venetian Palazzo.

Destination Guide

<br />&#x0D; Aman Venice offers a total of 24 accommodations with all being of unique layout and design. Eight feature protected frescos and reliefs that reflect past periods of art and architecture. Furniture and furnishings throughout the accommodations are contemporary, and of a simple aesthetic.<br />&#x0D; <br />&#x0D; Most accommodations provide combined living areas and bedrooms, as well as linked dressing areas and bathrooms. Lighting is most often provided by table and standing lamps. Each provides a television which broadcasts local and international channels as well as Venice movies on demand. A docking station is also included. All accommodations offer a king-sized bed, an armoire with personal bar, a writing desk and either a sofa or twin lounge chairs. There are a total of four accommodation categories, differentiated by design, floor area and view. 16 of the rooms have a view to the Grand Canal.
Alcova Tiepolo Suite
The Alcova Tiepolo Suite offers a Chinese painted sitting room and a bedroom ceiling by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Tiepolo has been described as the &quot;greatest decorative painter of 18th-century Europe, as well as its most able craftsman&quot;.
Canal Grande Suite
Located above the front door of the palazzo, this suite directly fronts the Grand Canal offering exceptional views. It features a lovely sitting room with an arched window through which the full spectrum of the canal&#39;s maritime activities can be viewed. It can become a two-bedroom suite when necessary
Maddalena Stanza Canal Grande
This historic room features high, frescoed ceilings, silk wall coverings and a chandelier in the bathroom. The tall windows offer wonderful views over the Garden Terrace and the Grand Canal
Palazzo Bedroom
The Palazzo Bedrooms offer separate bedroom and bathrooms, with views of the Private Garden. (Average 484 square feet)

Papadopoli Stanza Canal Grande
The high ceilings of this stanza are frescoed in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Views are of the Garden and the Grand Canal
Sansovino Stanza
This stanza was originally called &#39;The Hall of the Four Doors&#39;. Noteworthy architectural details include wood panelling, a painted frieze around the walls and a carved ceiling. It also has the most historical fireplace in the palazzo, designed by Jacopo d&#39;Antonio Sansovino, one of Venice&#39;s most famous architects in the early 16th century.
