Medieval Santiago experienced centuries of scientific,<br /> artistic and literary interchange thanks to the large numbers of pilgrims arriving<br /> from all over Europe. The Pilgrim's Road to Santiago, together with the city<br /> of Santiago of Compostela, is today a World Heritage Site because of the historic<br /> and artistic nature of the route. In the context of the Christian Reconquista the castle and the city of Lisbon were retaken from the Moors by King Alfonso Henriques</span></span> <span><span>with the help of Northern European crusaders taking part on the Second Crusade. The castle was dedicated to Saint George in the late 14<sup>th</sup> century by King John I.</span></span><br />  <br /> <span><span>Lisbon's ancient cathedral was built by Portugal's first king on the site of an old mosque in 1150 for the city's first bishop, the English crusader Gilbert of Hastings. From outside (with two bell towers and a splendid rose window) it resembles a medieval fortress, while inside it appears predominantly Romanesque, with a Gothic choir and ambulatory.</span></span><br />  <br /> <span><span><span>Jewish people were the advisors of Kings and Queens, doctors and even some of the explorers, geographers and mathematicians. Just like a restaurant at home, Anytime Dining&#8480 enables guests the freedom to dine when and with whom they wish, at any time between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. Reservations are available through an onboard dining hotline, but not required, and diners may choose to eat only with their own group or be seated with other guests. The choice is yours.

World Fresh Marketplace

The World Fresh Marketplace boasts food stations from around the world that offer endless variety, regional favorites and customizable options for every palate. The new “East Meets West” street food specialty counter features comfort foods like French crepes, Asian noodles, German grilled sausages and Japanese satays to name just a few! The Lodge (Ages 8-12)

Inspired by the great outdoors, this cozy center keeps kids busy with games, dancing and kid-sized Olympic competitions. The Beach House (Ages 13-17)

This contemporary lounge is "the place” for teens — perfect for hanging out and socializing with late-night movie viewing, hip hop dance classes, video game tournaments and sports competitions like dodgeball and basketball.
