The Copenhagen Cathedral in its present shape is an unpretentious building in Neo-Classicist style designed by the architect C.F. Hansen</span><span><b>.</b></span><span> It is situated close to the University of Copenhagen. An inside visit to the Round Tower in included. It was built as part of the Trinity Complex, named after the Holy Trinity and designed to accommodate three things: the observatory at the top of the tower, the library on the floor above the Trinity Church and of course the church itself. During the mid-20th century, Sweden was one of the only European countries to actually witness a growth in their Jewish population. During the Second World War there was no systematic persecution by the neutral Swedish government, and, in fact, the country gave asylum to thousands of Jewish refugees from Denmark and Norway.
