<div>  Aligned with the dramatic, natural beauty of Big Sur, the 39 guestrooms at Post Ranch Inn offer a luxurious, romantic experience. Similar in size and appointments, each room has a unique design with a panoramic ocean or mountain tree views.   All rooms feature a king-size bed with organic mattress and bedding, wood-burning fireplace,  stereo, digital music system with programming via satellite, iPod docking station, coffee & tea set-up, and private deck – many with deck basking tub. Luxury in-room amenities include a small refrigerator with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, gourmet snacks, fresh fruit and all are replenished daily. Guests enjoy special  terry cloth robes, slippers, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board, walking sticks and Wireless Internet access. To preserve a sense of serenity, our rooms are television free.   Rates are per room, per night, including a full breakfast for two at  Sierra Mar, valet parking, and daily guest activities such as yoga, swimming & basking pools, fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks. The Butterfly building is three stores, with staircase.. The five-room building is shaped like a butterfly with outstretched wings. Cliff House/deck hot tub - Oceanfront

Cliff House - with ocean views Post Ranch’s ultimate privacy accommodations. With a deck suspended over the cliffs of Big Sur, this extraordinary structure seems to soar. Enter through an enclosed garden courtyard into 960 square feet of luxurious space. The secluded, glass-walled bedroom features custom-built furniture, a wood- burning fireplace and radiant-heat floors. Soak in magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean – indoors from the large bathtub and shower or from the outside deck basking hot tub.     Accommodations include a  daily full breakfast in Sierra Mar, Complimentary valet/self parking, mini-bar with non alcoholic beverages, and scheduled daily guest activities/amenities such as yoga, swimming & 2 basking pools,  fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks.

Coast Houses Lower - with ocean views

The circular design of the Coast House is inspired by nearby redwood trees. Each guest room in the two-story duplexes has a separate entrance. Rooms feature king bed, small soft leather couch and coffee table in front of a cozy fireplace. bathroom soaking tub, spacious deck.  Partial or full views of the ocean and Big Sur coast can be savored from the bed, couch, tub and terrace.   Accommodations include a daily full breakfast in Sierra Mar, Complimentary valet/self  parking, mini-bar with non-alcoholic beverages, and daily scheduled guest activities/amenities such as yoga, swimming & 2 basking pools, lap pool, fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks.

Mountain House - with mountain views

There are only two of these rooms at the resort and they are similar in design Coast House  interior circular design. They are inspired by the nearby redwood trees. These two-story duplexes have separate entrances, with king bed, mini-bar, small leather of and coffee table king bed, spacious deck views of the Ventana Peaks and Mountains.    Accommodations include a daily full  breakfast in Sierra Mar, complimentary valet or self  parking, mini-bar, non alcoholic beverages, and daily scheduled guest activities such as yoga, swimming & basking pools, fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks.

Ocean House Southern room

These  Southern oceanfront rooms are unique in design and comfort. Located in a single structure they are recessed into the side of the mountain and feature sod roofs with a soft carpet of grass and wildflowers. They offer panoramic ocean views from the  king bed, soaking bathroom tub, window seat and terrace. The spacious ground-level guestroom with curved interior opens onto expansive ocean views to be enjoyed from four areas – the living room, the glass wall in the bedroom, the window by the oversized bathtub and shower, and spacious terrace. The circular two-story building features two suites with a king-size bed facing the ocean. Each offers 960 square feet, with private entrance, custom-built furniture, wood-burning fireplace and radiant-heat floors, and a private stainless steel outdoor soaking tub.   Accommodations include a gourmet breakfast buffet in Sierra Mar, valet parking, and daily guest activities/amenities such as yoga, swimming & basking pools, fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks.

Pacific Suites Upper/deck soaking tub with Ocean Views

The curved interior opens onto panoramic ocean views to be enjoyed from four areas – the living room, the glass wall in the bedroom, the window by the oversized bathtub and shower, and expansive deck with private soaking hot tub. The circular two-story Pacific Suite building features two suites with an upper and lower room. Each offers 960 square feet, with private entrance, custom-built furniture, wood-burning fireplace and radiant-heat floors.    Accommodations include a daily Breakfast menu in Sierra Mar, Complimentary valet/self  parking, mini-bar with non-alcoholic beverages, and scheduled daily guest activities/amenities such as yoga, swimming & 2 infinity basking pools,lap pool,  fitness room, hiking and guided nature walks.

This Peak House  is the same floor plan as the Cliff House rooms but with incredible views of the San Lucia mountain range. The deck is suspended over the top of the ridge, This 960-square-foot room showcases an unsurpassed and private mountain view. Enter through an enclosed garden courtyard into the secluded, glass-walled bedroom, featuring custom-built furniture, wood-burning fireplace and radiant- heat floors. Soak in the views – indoors from the large bathtub and shower, outdoors in the  hot tub overlooking the mountains. Within a short stroll to the hotels main Jade basking pool with ocean and coastal views. Some of the most popular rooms are the Tree Houses that are single structures, built on stilts nine feet off the forest floor, with a stairway to each entrance. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a 180-degree view of the California coast, the award-winning Sierra Mar restaurant pairs world-class cuisine with an awe-inspiring setting. Led by Executive Chef Craig von Foerster, the Big Sur restaurant features innovative cuisine created from organic, seasonal ingredients. The four-course, prix-fixe menu changes daily. To complement the dining experience, Sierra Mar offers wine selections from one of North America’s most extensive cellars, which has garnered the Grand Award from Wine Spectator since the restaurant's inception.   Restaurant Hours:   8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Complimentary gourmet buffet breakfast, for inn guests only.   10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Picnic luncheon baskets available for inn guests only. Special take-out lunches may be purchased by the general public.   12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Lunch and light appetizers are open to the public as well as our extensive wine cellar and bar. Reservations requested.   3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Snack menu available to the public, including caviar and oysters, soup of the day, various salads with grilled chicken breasts, and a selection of artisan cheeses.   5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Dinner open to the public for the following reserved times: 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 8:45 p.m., based on availability and subject to change. From Monterey Airport: Approximate driving time 45 minutes to one hour When leaving the airport on Olmsted Road, turn right onto Hwy 68 Follow the signs to Hwy 1 South, Big Sur Stay on Hwy 1 through Carmel to Big Sur (approximately 30 miles) Turn right into the entrance of Post Ranch Inn (just past U.S. Post Office) From San Jose Airport: Approximate driving time 2 to 2.5 hours. When leaving the airport, follow signs to Hwy 101 South Exit at Hwy 156 West (Monterey Peninsula Exit) Hwy 156 becomes Hwy 1 South Follow Hwy 1 into Big Sur (approximately 40 miles) Turn right into the entrance of Post Ranch Inn (just past U.S. Post Office) From San Francisco Airport:  Approximate driving time 3 to 3.5 hours Take Hwy 101 South approximately 1.5 hours (Towards San Jose) Exit at Hwy 156 West (Monterey Peninsula Exit) Hwy 156 becomes Hwy 1 South Follow Hwy 1 into Big Sur (approximately 40 miles) Turn right into the entrance of Post Ranch Inn (just past U.S. Post Office) From Los Angeles Airport: Approximate driving time 6 to 7 hours Take the 405 Freeway North to Ventura Freeway West, (Hwy 101) Continue on Hwy 101 until you reach San Luis Obispo, (approximately four hour drive.) In San Luis Obispo take the Morro Bay Exit North – Highway 1 Continue north on Hwy 1, passing San Simeon (Hearst Castle), Ragged Point, and other small towns. Post Ranch is approximately one hour north of Ragged Point. Continue on Hwy 1 into Big Sur. Once past Nepenthe Restaurant, look for a left turning lane. Turn left into the entrance of Post Ranch Inn
